Fall decor- dining room centerpiece

Before we even bought the house, I have been already thinking and brainstorming about how am I going to decorate it for every holiday and occasions.
Even though we don't really have four seasons here in Los Angeles, especially at this time of the year, we still have some 90s here... Anyway, you can still decorate your house for fall and Halloween even though you don't have the weather of autumn.

As I'm still trying to look for some cute and affordable fall/Halloween decors, I found some really cute stuff at Dollar Tree which is one of my favorite place to shop for some seasonal decors.

Look what I found! A sparkling flashing pumpkin! For $1 with flashing and battery included? you can't bit that!

I also got a Sugar Cookie candle which smell delicious! Let me tell you, the candles they sell in Dollar Tree just smell and burn as good as those you get from Bath and Body Works which cost you $10+!

I was burning this candle before my husband came back from work. As soon as he stepped into the house, he already asked if I was baking. Hahaha of course....not.

This is the other candle I got from Dollar Tree with Pumpkin Pie scented. I have been searching and it's very hard to find a pumpkin candle that does not have cinnamon scent in it and this one smells amazing!

so this is what my dinning table centerpiece looks like right now
I got the place mat at Ross for $1.99, you may not see in the picture but it's a metallic and shimmer orange :)
Everything else is from Dollar Tree

A closer look to the centerpiece

I hope you enjoy this post :)

Treasure Hunt at Ross

I also saw this owl vase, isn't it cute?

Master Bathroom Transformation

This was back in June before we move into the house. We have total 2 and a helf bathrooms in the house but due to limited budget, we only remodeled the master bathroom. This was a nothing-will-stay project. As you can see the original bathroom was extremely small, the toilet was in a wired position that you can't even close the door without standing next to it. The draws and space next to the toilet were also a totally waste because you won't even be able to open the drawers...

Our plan was to remove EVERYTHING in this bathroom, relocate the toilet, install a new tub/shower combo, new glass door, new tiles, new vanity and install some recessed lighting. It was a big project especially when it involved plumbing and electrical, we better not mess up so we decided to hire a contractor for this project.

Before:

As you can see in the picture on the right, there's not much space you can stand, not even for one person.

In Progress:

EVERYTHING's GONE

Toilet was already relocated to the corner

Putting up wall tiles around the shower

Floor tiles done! Love the color of the tiles!

Finished:

Viola !

DONE! yeah! I can't believe it took less than 2 weeks! and the outcome was amazing! Although we have hired a contractor, we did pick and purchase almost everything ourselves. We could not be happier with everything we have picked!

Here is a complete list of where we got everything:

Toilet: Lowes
Shower door: Lowes
Vanity sink: Ikea - hemnes
Faucet: Ikea - LUNDSKÄR
Mirror cabinet: Ikea - hemnes
Wall paint: Valspar - Moonbeam

You can also find these item at my Pinterest :)

One thing we did ask the contractor to modify is the vanity mirror. Because I am a small person (5'1), the original mirror from Ikea was too long with the shelf space at the bottom, I won't be able to see myself without standing on the stool... (I know..)

so that's what we asked

and it comes out beautifully :)
